Four regional singer/songwriters will perform their original music on the Clemens Fine Arts Center stage at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Jamie Pigg, Shawn Chester, Paul Hadfield, and David Booth will each perform 20 minute sets.
David Booth, a Paducah attorney, has been playing, singing and writing since his teen age years.  David played professionally during college and law school and just completed his third CD, Light.  Musical influences range from The Beatles to Jackson Brown and James Taylor.
Jamie Pigg, a WKCTC student, sometimes plays with Paducah’s Bawn in the Mash.  Jamie describes his music as a mix between Bawn in the Mash and Vicious Mistress. He says his work is influenced by love, the spirit world, and both old and new music.
Singer/songwriter, Shawn Chester, fronted his first band as a Ballard Middle School student. Shawn says, “I write about things I know.  My songs are about everything from fishing on the Tennessee River to more serious topics, such as relationships and the hard lessons of life.”  Shawn, a former WKCTC student, has appeared locally at the Paducah Summer Festival, CC Cohen’s Writers Night, and Paducah’s Downtown After Dinner.
Paul Hadfield says he just writes songs and then sings them. “I write whatever comes into my head, and I don't pay much attention to genres, although I think I'm at the intersection of rock/country/folk. I need a record deal so that I can stop working, play music, buy a bigger house and a faster car, and vacation in exotic locales. .Hope you enjoy the music!”
