ABOUT THE PROGRAM FOR 2009-2010 In 2009-2010, the West Kentucky Community and Technical College Arts in FOCUS Series will provide the community with diverse performing arts programming and educational arts and humanities activities. Your support is needed as we enter the 42nd season of performing and visual arts programming at WKCTC. The FOCUS Series will keep you coming back for more! Be amazed by Barrage, a high-octane string group featuring an international, multi-talented cast performing an eclectic |
mix of music, song and dance. Remember the 60’s and 70’s with the music of John Lennon and the Beatlesin the timeless songs of Leiber and Stoller in Smokey Joe’s Café. Last but not least, Roger and Hammersteins's South Pacific will keep your toes tapping to its familiar tunes. As a college, education is important to us. We continue to offer diverse opportunities to students and community members through workshops, master classes, and lecture demonstrations. The Keynote Series will present a songwriting seminar and presentations by best-selling authors. The Campus Series, targeting students, and Backstage Pass, a coffeehouse style acoustic music series, will continue in 2009-10. The WKCTC Lobby Gallery will be busy with wonderful visual art exhibits featuring regional artists and WKCTC faculty and students. The Clemens Fine Arts Center is committed to providing quality entertainment and arts opportunities at affordable prices. The price of a ticket covers only a small percentage of our expenses. Please make your commitment to the arts and education today by becoming a contributor to the Arts In FOCUS series!
